Having a clear through my wardrobes and coming to terms with my shopaholic ways I am beginning to see things in a different perpective. I had squirrelled loads of clothes away and hidden them in the cupboards, ones I had forgotten about. I found loads more clothes in the cupboards which I had bought and not worn. What a waste of money i felt so ashamed, so I took them back today. The shop let me have a credit note. I felt really pleased with myself that i retrieve some money. I still felt a bulimic shopper but I bought these clothes before I started to work on myself and improve my self esteem. I feel really pleased with myself. I am beginning to feel a sense of shame and yet a sense of relief. Actually it feels similar to when I gave up smoking. I haven’t had a shopping spree in weeks and I have managed to save some money. I am so pleased with myself. Instead of beating myself up now I am patting myself on the back. I am proud of my success. Thank you Marissa Peer :0) I am glad I read your book now.
I took more stuff back today so I am patting myself on the back. |
